Aim of the program: The goal of the program is to prepare  qualified employers for the agricultural sphere.

 The Results of the Teaching:

The Graduate will be able:

  • Participate in the territorial arrangement of the garden area
  • Assess and cultivate the soil
  • Produce planting material for fruit crops
  • Ensure fruit formation
  • Ensure fruit protection
  • Manage a farm
  • Plan and implement the initial acceptance and sale of the product.
  • Cultivate and take care for the tea plantations
  • Produce tea planting material
  • Provide initial intake of tea leaf.

The Terms of Enrolment: Secondary Education and an interview with the competition commission

Learning Range: For Georgian language students: 90 credits

For non-Georgian speaking students: 120 credits.

Duration of the learning process: For Georgian language students: 18 academic months

For non-Georgian speaking students: 26 academic months

The program is implemented with a dual approach, more than 50% of the total teaching range is achieved in a real work environment in the partner organizations.

A graduate of the fruit-growing program can be employed in the rural areas, in the field of agriculture. It is also possible to be self-employed and manage their own farm.

The graduate will be employed in:

  • Market-oriented gardeners and agricultural crops
  • Manufacturers
  • Producers of fruits and berry crops
  • Gardeners, other nursery workers
  • Farmers and gardeners
  • Mixed crop producers
  • Self-sustaining agricultural crops
  • Manufacturers

Every year, during spring and autumn periods, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia announces the registration period for people who want to enroll in VET programs.

Registration can be done across the information centers, the Ministry of Education resource-centers and vocational training programs at the corresponding vocational education institutions.
